Residents are often afraid of being displaced from their homes. Some areas may not have electricity or water. Maclovio Rojas was meant to be industrial, not residential, resulting in pollution that the government has ignored.

Housing Insecurity

​Clinics are only open during residents' workday hours, making it difficult to schedule and attend clinic appointments. IMSS-Bienestar only provides basic exams; no specialists are available. Disabled individuals experience further barriers as well.

Healthcare Availability

Offering consultations, giving out health information packets, and offering personalized care all support residents in taking control of their health. A focus on patient education empowers the community to become motivated in achieving health goals.
