Specific Duties

Driver (7 seater van, Bruincar, 18 years old +)
    The driver must be 18 years or older and feel comfortable driving a 7 seater van down to Maclovio Rojas. Bruincar is a rental car system through UCLA that insures students as young as 18 years old. If you are interested in driving, please fill out this link (Here). As a driver, you get priority for getting onto the trips of your choice!

Driver (15 seater van, AVR, 21 years old +) 
​    The driver must be ​21 years or older and feel comfortable driving a 15 seater van down to Maclovio Rojas. AVR is a rental car company near LAX that we use. If you are interested in driving, please fill out this link (Here). As a driver, you get priority for getting onto the trips of your choice!

Trip Leader
    The trip leader is in charge of keeping all FISHies organized and on task during trip. He or she is in charge of holding onto and filling out the Trip Expense Form, Trip Debriefing Report, and Inventory Sheet (the debrief report should be filled out with input of whole group). The trip leader is also responsible for mentoring the trip leader shadower on key points of conducting the clinic in Mexico and the trip as a whole (as per the shadower checklist), and making the assistant feel comfortable enough to lead their own trip. 

Trip Leader Assistant
    If any FISHie is interested in taking more responsibilities on a trip, one great opportunity is being Trip Leader Assistant, working directly with the Trip Leader. This position includes assisting the Trip Leader at all steps during the operation of the clinic and is a great opportunity to gain more leadership experience. Please keep in mind you will still be expected to perform regular clinic tasks. 

Photographer
    Take photos of your experience in Maclovio Rojas! Any camera is fine, from a DSLR to a cellphone. Make sure to take at least 10 photographs, and to capture other FISH associates as they serve the clinic. The Photographer must email marketing.fish.ucla@gmail.com by the Monday following the trip. Please see the NEW photography/videography guidelines for information to help you get the best photos possible!

Videographer
    Take videos of your experience in Maclovio Rojas! You may use any recording device (iPhones are acceptable). The Videographer must email marketing.fish.ucla@gmail.com by the Monday following the trip. Please see the NEW photography/videography guidelines for information to help you get the best videos possible!

Spanish Speaker
    Must be competent Spanish speaker, with almost complete fluency. The Spanish speaker will provide translations for all FISHies as well as act as the main correspondent for the group, including to any Mexican authorities if need should arise.
